Nafi Thiam is by far the strongest and the best all round Belgian athlete of this moment. The Olympic Heptathlon Champion also won gold in the Pentathlon at the European Indoor Championships earlier this year. That means that Thiam is well prepared and ready to take on the outdoor athletics season in her homebase in Liège. In the opening leg of the 2017 AG Memorial Series she will face a number of high level international athletes !
CHILDREN AND YOUTH
Before the start of the international program children can get a taste of athletics at St Lambert Square in the Kids Athletics program, led by a former athlete of Liège Athletics Club. Joining the sessions is free and participating children will receive a certificate. The pre program consists of a Junior (Under 20) High Jump competition.
Public access is free ! The AG Urban Memorial Van Damme creates a unique opportunity on a unique location to discover high level athletics from close by.
The AG Urban Memorial Series will continue in four more cities. Details will be revealed at the press conference of the AG Memorial Van Damme next Thursday.
