I am happy that I can hand over a strong event to Cédric. The meeting is carried by the strong shoulders of Golazo as an event management company and by AG Insurance as a strong title partner,” explained Meert.
“Like every high performance sportsman I want to end my career when the energy is still high and the results are still bright. I am happy to continue the relationships with the other Diamond League meetings and with the IAAF in the future”, said Meert.
For the new Meeting director Cédric Van Branteghem a dream is coming true. “As a little child I already dreamed to compete at the Memorial one day.
